Fear and apprehensions of pain during labour process was the major factor because of which women was avoiding natural birth .But with the introduction of labour analgesia the perception of pain is getting changed. In this method patient’s back is cleaned with an antiseptic liquid and the area where the epidural catheter is to be introduced is numbed with a local anaesthetic. The needle is then passed into the epidural space, small doses of medicines is introduced through a fine plastic tube. The Epidural analgesia is given when patient goes into active labour i.e. when opening of cervix is around 3 to 4 cm. The procedure is absolutely safe for patient and baby because patient will be relieved of severe pain and labour process continues. This procedure requires close monitoring by team of Gynaecologist and Anaesthetist.

Ovarian cysts are fluid-filled or blood filled sacs on one or both ovaries .These can be treated by medical management or surgical treatment .Ovarian cysts can be removed surgically while keeping the ovaries and other pelvic organs intact. This is called a cystectomy.
